I wanted to build a new deck, but decided I needed help getting it framed correctly. I called Jeff for help. He came over, listened to what I wanted to create, offered some suggestions that I hadn't thought of, took measurements, gave me a list of materials that I would need to order and showed me where to install the new footings. Once the footings were in the ground and the material was delivered, Jeff came back and went to work. He started in the morning and by mid-afternoon, my new deck was framed out. I was blown away. If you want someone to build your deck who knows what he's doing, Jeff is the only person to call. Thanks Jeff!

Fantastic! After reading so many positive reviews about "the Deck Man" we were looking forward to meeting him. Jeff visited the site when we were off cape. He provided a written estimate and proposed drawing and sent it to us via email. He agreed to meet in person to review the estimate and answer any questions. When we met in person, we agreed to some modifications to the plan and asked Jeff if he could complete the work before the end of June, 2013. Jeff promptly got back to us and confirmed he could complete the work by our desired deadline. Once started, it took about one-week to build and everything went according to plan -- including completion by our deadline.
Jeff has a very friendly, easy going style. Where we live off cape, he sent us emails with pictures each day showing us the progress of the deck. He was a pleasure to work with. We are entirely pleased with the project and have no reservations recommending "the Deck Man" for future work.

Responsive, punctual, reasonable. Jeff came and gave an estimate that was far more reasonable than other quotes I received. He did not try to sell me on unnecessary structural support improvements. He did an outstanding job, cleaning up as he went. He goes above and beyond, replacing an step down to the beach that he saw needing replacement. This was a big job as the deck is about 600 sq ft over the water. He used stainless steel cabling and railing and post wraps providing suggestions to minimize cost and maintenance. We also added to his scope when he suggested improvements for an adjacent patio railing. The overall look and workmanship was great. He sent pictures everyday so I could see the progress since I was not on site. He's also just a pleasure to work with.

It took a few days to get an estimate from the Deck Man. He provided picture examples of his work and a list of references. I called two of the names and they could not be happier. One person had used him eight times and was using him at that time. I accepted the estimate and paid 10% down. He delayed starting the project by about 5 days due to rain holding up his then current project. He answered e-mails and telephone calls about the starting date delays promptly. I met him at this second house when he started the project and gave him 40% of the estimate. I went home to wait for for him to finish. He sent photographs of his progress via e-mail. I asked about replacing a window while he was there. He looked at it, got price and we agreed to the additional work. I met him at the house on his last day and paid for the rest of the job. The Deck Man, Jeff Hennemuth, was very pleassant to talk with about the project and about what was happening locally while I was away from the house. He did everything that I expected for the project. He cleaned up the area well afterwards. There was a lot of small wood pieces from the deteriorated sections of the old deck. The quality of the work is way above average. I would hire him again without reservation.
